#8 and 1/2" flat
#2 filbert or 1/8" filbert rake
#1 JS liner
Roni's Happy Mix: 1/2 Faux Glazing Medium + 1/2 Brush 'n Blend
Prep wood paint with 1/2 Multi Purpose Sealer and 1/2 Deep Midnight Blue.
Let dry, sand and trace on pattern.
Painting Procedure:
Sky: #12 flat
Start at the horizon line and paint the background of the mountain at the same time as the sky. With happy mix in brush, paint sky from light to dark using the following colors: Light Buttermilk, Hilite Flesh, Baby Blue, Country Blue. Overlap colors slightly for easier blending. Fade colors into background at edges.
Let dry and trace on mountain.
Mountain: #8 flat
Paint only the shaded and highlight areas. Coat with Happy Mix and keep in brush. Corner load brush with Country Blue, then baby blue and float in Hilite Flesh and Light Buttermilk for the highlight areas.
Evergreen Trees: 1/8 filbert rake or # 2 filbert
Use combos of Baby Blue and Country Blue for lighter trees. Black green + deep Midnight Blue for darker ones. Add Country Blue to shaded side and Light Buttermilk for light side.
Water: 1/2" flat
Coat area with Happy Mix. Double load with Deep Midnight Blue and Black Green and start at edge, under trees. Separately add Country Blue, Baby Blue, Light Buttermilk and Hilite Flesh. Use all downward strokes and overlap colors slightly. While still wet, blend colors slightly back and forth (sideways). You can go back when dry and recoat area with Happy Mix and add more darks and lights as needed.
Evergreen to right: 1/8 filbert rake (1/4), 1 JS liner
Same as darker ones in background. Trunk: with liner , paint with combos of Burnt Umber and Hilite Flesh.
Snow: 8 flat
Combos of sky colors.
Grass: With liner brush, paint with combos of deep Midnight Blue and Black Green. Thin paint with water.
Let dry, varnish and enjoy.
